Dear Matt, I received your letter the other day informing me that my criminal matter had been dropped by the district attorney.  That was certainly good news but it is not the reason for writing you and your firm this letter.

It is hard for one who has always thought of himself as a good example and has tried to be a good and honorable citizen of our great country to be in turn thought of and treated as criminal.  Criminals large and small are always criminals and I was most distressed by the thought of being ranked among those who do not respect our laws and the safety of our fellow citizens and to act in irresponsible ways.
